Silk Road Project

You will be using the computer to conduct research on the Silk Road in order to make an informative magazine article related to the topic. See your task and directions below.

Your Task:

You are now a journalist for National Geographic. For next month's issue, you will be contributing an article on the Silk Road. Remember, publications such as National Geographic are informative texts. This means all the information you include must be factual and in your own words.


Requirements:

  2. Click the "next destination button" when you are done with each stop on the website.
  3. Take detailed notes in your own words.
  4. Introduce the topic clearly with an organized main idea.
  5. Choose relevant facts and details to support your main idea.
  6. Use transitions between paragraphs to help your article flow.
  7. Use precise vocabulary when explaining your topic.
  8. Make sure your article remains factual and objective.
  9. Provide a conclusion that ties everything together and supports your information.
  10. Give your article a catchy title
  11. Have a partner edit your article
